Post Storm Restoration- Sanibel, FL
This community was damaged by Ian and had hired a post storm contractor that was unfamiliar with codes and FEMA requirements. Shortly into the project, it was clear to the HOA board that the contractor was not performing as expected. The damage caused by the contractor was worse than the storm itself and failed inspections delayed the project. General Construction & Development mobilized and immediately hired expert engineers to assess the damage and worked together with the HOA to develop a plan and bring the community back to its pre-storm condition. Sand Dollar
Post Storm Restoration- Sanibel, FL
Sand Dollar condominiums comprises of 36 units on the barrier island of Sanibel. Shortly after Ian, a major restoration contractor was tasked to provide immediate post storm restorations. As the project was underway, we were asked by the vacation management team to observe the ongoing construction for numerous owners within the complex under their management. Our immediate site assessment discovered that the contractor did not mitigate the water intrusion properly and mold was present post whitebox. In addition, the electrical infrastructure was not addressed fully. After numerous conversations and clear evidence of negligence, owners opted to prevent the completion of whitebox and allow General Construction & Development to finish the units completely.

Myakka Luxury RV Resort
New Construction- North Port, FL
Myakka RV Resort is a luxury park developed in a few phases. General was brought in to assist in the building of custom "Casita" suites for numerous owners and RV enthusiasts that desired more living space away from the RV. These 900 ft2 casitas included kitchens, bathroom, living and outdoor lanai space.
