WHAT GOVERNMENT CLIENTS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT WORKING WITH GENERAL

  • WHAT TYPES OF GOVERNMENT PROJECTS DO YOU PURSUE?

We pursue public-facility upgrades, general and electrical construction, building renovations, underground electrical infrastructure, building-envelope restoration, and storm and emergency repairs. We evaluate each opportunity against its scope, qualifications, schedule, and delivery requirements.

  • DO YOU PROVIDE BOTH GENERAL AND ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING?

Yes. GC&D holds Florida general and electrical contractor licenses. We can provide general construction, electrical work, or a combined scope based on the project requirements.

  • DO YOU YOU PURSUE FEMA FUNDED DISASTER CONTRACTS?

Yes. Our entry into the Florida market was through storm damage restoration — restoring electrical infrastructure and structural systems following hurricane destruction across Florida. We understand the urgency that disaster recovery contracts demand. We are positioned to respond to FEMA funded recovery opportunities across our service area.

  • CAN YOU WORK DIRECTLY FOR AN AGENCY OR UNDER A PRIME CONTRACTOR?

We pursue direct agency contracts and can also work under prime contractors on defined construction and electrical scopes. Our role depends on the solicitation, project requirements, and contracting arrangement.

  • WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?

Our initial government-construction focus is Florida, particularly Southwest Florida and Tampa Bay. We evaluate projects elsewhere in the state based on scope, scheduling, and mobilization requirements.

  • DO YOU HANDLE STORM DAMAGE AND EMERGENCY REPAIRS?

Yes. Our capabilities include storm-related building restoration and electrical repairs. For emergency requests, we assess site conditions, access, available resources, and the required response schedule before committing to mobilization.

  • HOW CAN WE REQUEST A QUOTE OR INVITE GC&D TO BID?

Send the solicitation or project information through our contact form or email build@generalconstructioncorp.com. Include the project location, scope, plans and specifications, submission deadline, and any mandatory site visits or qualification requirements. Please follow the agency’s designated procurement communication process.
